At Little Explorer Montessori, we strive to provide a clean, safe and educational environment for young children and their families. Within our care, children develop skills that promote physical, emotional, social and intellectual growth. We believe in being supportive of our parents, and we welcome their positive involvement and presence at Little Explorer Montessori at all times. We further believe that within our environment, children can thrive and have the opportunity to blossom into responsible and contributing members of our society.
We require on-going training for our staff through Region classes, orientation videos, in-house training, and other certified professionals in the education field. All of our staff is trained in First Aid and CPR.
Little Explorer Montessori is dedicated and committed to our children by providing exceptional education and quality child care. It is our philosophy to focus on the needs of the individual child by providing a stimulating atmosphere for learning along with a secure loving environment. It is our belief that a childcare facility should be an extension of each child’s family. Little Explorer Montessori teachers and parents are encouraged to work together to provide the love and support needed as your child reaches developmental milestones and his/her own personal achievements! We are passionate about education and providing our children with the tools to be successful in life.
Little Explorer Montessori offers a program which is a blend of Play based & Montessori philosophies specific to meet the children’s needs based on their interests. Children work independently or together in groups to problem solve, learn and grow just like in Montessori. Our Montessori part of the program utilizes the practical life materials and the open-ended materials of Montessori and combines it with play-based materials to create a more social way of learning for children. It is a student-centered approach that encourages creativity and curiosity and leads children to ask questions, explore, investigate and think for themselves as they acquire skills. At Little Explorer Montessori, we value both the Play Based and Montessori approach of teaching children. We realize that both approaches offer extremely important lessons for children.
Our well-equipped facility offers two rooms 24kids in each room. Our chef creates healthy and nutritious meals and snacks daily in our on-site kitchen with carefully selected ingredients to fuel a growing child’s mind. The centre has a separate and private outdoor playground where children can explore, play and learn.
